The Noble Virtues
At the core of the submissive spiritual discipline in pursuit of the Noble Ideal is the cultivation of virtue. Or, more specifically, the Noble Virtues. In the ancient world of Greece and Rome, the cultivation of virtue was considered an essential element of education, and a favored topic of philosophers and orators. The pursuit of the Noble Ideal calls for a return to this sensibility: in modern parlance, the practice of Virtues is the core curriculum of the submissive's education.
The following series of posts will begin to present an introduction and commentary on the Noble Virtues. As always, comments are welcome as sincere contributions to the Noble Ideal.
The Noble Ideal
This blog was created with the intention of cultivating a submissive spiritual practice in service to women -- the Noble Ideal. But it was also created as a forum open to all, both men and women, who share a commitment to the Noble Ideal. All comments offered with a sincere intention to contribute to the Noble Ideal will be received with gratitude.

Service to Women
I should state clearly what I mean by service to women, which is the essential definition of the Noble Ideal. It is the steadfast and submissive cultivation of a spiritual discipline that focuses on the needs and desires of women, and the betterment of their lives. As it is based entirely on the needs and desires of women, it takes on as many forms as there are women. In its highest form, this discipline is devoted to one especially deserving woman, who grants the submissive the extraordinary privilege of seeking the perfection of the Noble Ideal in her service. But this discipline is also devoted, in a manner appropriate to the circumstances, to all women.
The full acceptance and committed practice of this discipline is the constant pursuit of the Noble Ideal.
